Dec 7, 2023 · Hmong Dogs with short tails, known as the Hmong Bobtail Dog, are primarily found in the Northwestern mountainous regions of Vietnam. People in this region consider them to be very precious. In the past, they were raised for hunting, but nowadays, they’re more commonly used as guard dogs to protect their owners’ homes. The Hmong Bobtail dog is one of the only breeds in the world with a naturally docked tail. Most dogs with stubby tails weren’t born that way. Instead, their tail was cut a short time after birth.
