Like engine oil, when it begins to turn color to not reddish but brownish it wearing out. Such a low cost way to maintain an expensive auto trans. For the trans fluid, the interval is 30k miles for both the manual and CVT. Honda MTF is pretty thin compared to most other transmission oils.
