The lines were faint at 14 dpo and it was a chemical. It was so disheartening but I was glad to have earlier tests to compare with so I knew without getting my hopes up. Don't rule it out just yet and retest in a couple of days. If it is a chemical it's a very good sign you conceived even if brief. After I got my positive she told me she'd offer me blood work so i'd stop freaking myself out when my tests got lighter. Line progression is helpful up to a point. If you're looking to compare lines it's best to only compare every 48 hours. But I'd stop when I got a dye stealer.
