In Pathfinder, Barbarian is in most respects the superior class. It has a strong design and a ton of options to choose from. Making them inferior in every respect to the Fighter in Pathfinder 2e seems like a deliberate reaction to that. Either that, or they really learned the wrong lessons from their previous game.

Fighters are better for their first two strikes using double slice, but the third suffers (+4 DEX, +4 expert, +1 level) so a ‘full attack’ for a fighter would be +9/+9/+1. Rangers are better at getting off many attacks with their hunter’s edge of flurry.
